The government’s cloud-first strategy provided the essential frameworks for the expansion of Bespin Global MEA, an e& Enterprise company.

With strong governmental backing and robust digital infrastructure, Saudi Arabia has established itself as MENA's fastest-growing IT market, with technology spending believed to have reached $37.5 billion in 2024.

At the forefront of this transformation is Bespin Global MEA, an e& Enterprise company. Bespin has recently expanded to Saudi Arabia with support from AstroLabs, the Gulf's leading business expansion platform.

Unlocking the Path for Widespread Adoption of Cloud Services

Before venturing into Saudi Arabia, AstroLabs helped Bespin expand from Korea to the Gulf, with Dubai as their first regional hub.

A year after its launch in the UAE in 2021, Bespin Global formed a joint venture with e& Enterprise. This venture was created with the goal of becoming the largest pure-play, public cloud-managed, and professional services provider in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Pakistan.

To further strengthen its regional capabilities, Bespin acquired Falcon 9, a leading cloud consulting and management company in the Middle East. The acquisition expanded Bespin’s expertise across Cloud, DevOps, Big Data, and AI.

These significant milestones set the stage for Bespin's accelerated expansion in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking about the impact of AstroLabs in facilitating the company's market entry and business setup in Saudi Arabia, Mouteih Chaghlil, CEO of Bespin Global MEA said: "The AstroLabs team made it considerably easier for us to launch our operations in the Saudi market."

"From establishing our legal entity to providing physical offices for our on-ground team, they served as an indispensable extension of our own team, offering guidance and expertise throughout the process."

With its strategic entry into Saudi Arabia, Bespin aims to address the increasing demand for cloud services tailored to specific verticals and industry domains as more businesses forge ahead with digital transformation and AI adoption.

Besides the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Bespin has a substantial market presence in China, Korea, Singapore, India, Vietnam, and the USA.

Saudi Arabia’s Emergence as a Tech Powerhouse Drives Bespin’s Rapid Market Expansion

Cloud computing is a central pillar in Saudi Arabia’s national digital transformation strategy.

The country’s cloud-first strategy created an ideal environment for Bespin's expansion, where they now play a crucial role in realizing the country's ambitious digitization goals.

“The Saudi market has always been one of the main Middle Eastern countries where we aim to establish a strong presence, especially with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the cloud-first strategy declared by the country,” explained Chaghlil.

The scale of opportunity in Saudi Arabia is reflected in the increased public spending on cloud services, which is anticipated to reach $4.7 billion by 2027.

Additionally, cloud registrations increased 40% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2023, which is well above the global average, according to Chaghlil.

In fact, cloud computing is projected to contribute $1.8 billion to Saudi GDP by 2030, underscoring the sector's strategic importance. Strategic initiatives such as the establishment of a Cloud Computing Special Economic Zone further help the Kingdom edge closer to achieving an 80% cloud adoption rate in the public sector by 2030.

"We believe these strategies and the newly established Cloud Computing Special Economic Zone in Saudi Arabia are shaping the country’s groundbreaking digital infrastructure, and cloud companies should be there to collaborate in writing this new chapter and help businesses leverage the endless capabilities of the cloud,” he added.

"Cloud companies should be there to collaborate in writing this new chapter and help businesses leverage the endless capabilities of the cloud,” Chaghlil noted.

Bespin serves a long list of clients, including Jarir Bookstore, Imtiaz, Muvi Cinemas, and Al Dawaa, helping them optimize costs, improve operations, and upgrade their IT infrastructure.

Cloud services are pivotal in shaping Saudi Arabia's digital future. With its far-reaching impact and specialized digital transformation solutions, Bespin plays a crucial role in boosting the country’s standing as a major data center and cloud hub.
